Product Description for About Life and Death

This book contains a number of Earth-based models to help provide answers to the following four general questions frequently asked by humans:

1) What are we made of?
2) What is life?
3) How did human beings come to be on Earth?
4) What will happen to us after death?

Here is a quick summary of those answers:
1) We are made of light and matter that naturally form various kinds of atoms through interaction with the movement of Earth and its environment.
2) Lifeis a flexible biological system made from atoms within an organism, such as a cell, that acts as a continuously evolving cellular information management system able to receive information from the surrounding environment and respond by managing different components within the organism for the benefit of the organism.
3) Human beings came to be on Earth by the evolution of simple organisms that, to achieve various desires, united to design and build larger organisms.
4) After death, we will become a small single-celled organism surrounded by a vortex dwelling in Earth’s ocean of air with a continuously evolving information management system and a copy of our unique life experiences that is able to move, absorb and release energy, communicate and make choices for the future.

Answers to these same questions by theologians, mathematicians and scientists have tended to moved us, perhaps inadvertently, off the grounds of Earth and into our heads or off into the realms of extra-terrestrial forces or beings from the largely unknowable gigantic Universe.

The Earth-based models in this book will seek to return us to the intellectual and intuitive power of being fully grounded on Earth where we can be supported in our searches and embraced by the wisdom of our ancestors and of our smaller scale, but more knowable, Earth home.

Product Description for Earth and the Stream

.....This book contains 12 black and white images of watercolors by Larry-Michael Hackenberg, a 68-year-old Three Rivers MI spiritual philosopher and artist. The arrangement of the images invites you on a journey, a journey into your mind.

.....Japanese scrolls for centuries have portrayed a collection of images (mountains, waterfalls, trees, people, etc.) arranged on a single scroll. Images on an electronic display have now replaced the scroll, yet the possibilities remain unchanged. The viewer uses each image as a stop on an imaginary journey as part of a meditative exercise.

.....The journey through the screens invites you to participate, to ponder, “How did that flower come to be so beautiful?”, or, “I do not like that painting!”, or, “That reminds me of when I was a child at the beach with my grandmother”.

.....In reality, a watercolor is only colored dirt on paper; actually, there is no flower either on the watercolor paper or on the display. All the participation, all the pondering happens in your head. And so, importantly, the journey helps you to discover what is in your head. Available in ebook ($1.11). 31 pages.
